Brunch by day, stylish restaurant and wine bar by night, The Precinct is a relaxed, casual and cosy venue situated on the bustling Albany Hwy cafe strip in East Victoria Park.

The Precinct is currently owned and operated by The Chalker family. A farming family from the Southern Tablelands of NSW. Being cattle and sheep farmers, The Chalker family knows quality when they see it and take pride in being able to provide their customers nothing but fresh, high quality dishes that incorporate the best of what Australia and particularly WA has to offer.

The Chalker family has now teamed up with Head Chef Joel to transform what The Precinct now has to offer.

The Precinct is all about the freshness & quality of the food we are serving. The menu is very much drafted in partnership with the farmers, fishermen, breeders & providers from across Western Australia with whom we work together with everyday.

Its a two way process: we’re responding to what’s the best of what the producers are bringing us, but on another level, we are planning menus a season or two ahead, working hand-in-hand with our producers to develop ingredients for The Precinct menus.

We’ve made sure the dining experience at The Precinct is accessible and flexible. Our cooking is not overly technical or tricky - it’s robust & direct- allowing the pure flavours of the ingredients to sing. We’ve enjoyed developing a whimsical wine list, it is a reflection of the best of Australia- without taking itself too serious.
